I’m just basic with a side of extra.
I am an Entrepreneurial Spirit. A designer, copywriter and social media enthusiast who enjoys fashion, decor, food & culture and who works and lives in the Greater Toronto Area.
This blog is not about living off avocado toast every night. I believe there are people out there like me: I live off every penny I earn, my wage goes towards my home, bills, travel and food. But I don’t set my sights low, I still want to look stylish everyday, I still want Hay chairs for my house and a Chanel bag to carry my wares, I’m just sensible with money where I can be able to afford the luxuries. This blog grew from years of friends telling me ‘you always find the best stuff ’. And now my circle of friends has grown into readers too. This is an insight into my world.
Driving Industry Trends
“Simplicity, clarity, singleness: These are the attributes that give our lives power and vividness and joy as they are also the marks of great art.” —Richard Holloway

Despite our best efforts to keep it classic, however, we’ve yet to meet anyone who can resist the charm of a good interior trend. Just like clothing trends move from the runways to our wardrobes, these shiny new decorative pieces, paint colours, and furniture styles also make their way into our homes. But there’s a fine line between timeless and trendy.
If you like to stay on top of fashion trends, looking at runway shows is a great place to start, but they’re not always indicative of popular trends in countries around the world.
Thankful for the internet, I research the top trends worn all over the globe. Not only is it interesting to see the trends people in other countries love, but the results also provide a little fashion inspiration for your wardrobe.
